Jumara is an adventure game that combines immersive jungle exploration with strategic card battles. As you journey through this vibrant world, you’ll face various enemies and challenges, each demanding careful planning and resource management.
Key Features:
- Strategic Card Battles: Engage in dynamic card-based combat where every move counts.

- Resource Management: Keep an eye on your hunger bar and manage your resources wisely.
- Immersive Jungle Environment: Explore a richly detailed jungle full of secrets and surprises.
- Compelling Storyline: Uncover the mysteries of Jumara as you progress through the game.
The TOX System Explained
In-Game Mechanics:
Once an encounter begins, the first thing you’ll notice is the generation of a TOX bar. This is a pivotal element in Jumara's card battles.
The TOX Bar:
- Structure: The TOX bar is an action bar at the top of the screen, divided into quadrants. Each quadrant represents an action and can be one of three symbols: Triangle (T), Circle (O), or Cross (X).
- Function: Each card played can have one of these symbols. Playing a card with a TOX symbol consumes an action from the TOX bar. If no actions are left in the TOX bar, the combat ends, and if the enemy has remaining points, they win.
Game Phases:
Mulligan Phase:
- Description: After generating the TOX bar, players enter the Mulligan phase. Here, you can choose to keep your initial hand or reshuffle a certain number of cards back into the deck, drawing new ones for each reshuffled card.
Playing Cards:
- FAME Cost: Every card has a FAME cost added to your hunger bar. If the hunger bar reaches 100, the game ends. Note that the hunger bar is persistent and does not reset between encounters.
- Reducing Hunger: Hunger can be reduced by winning encounters, playing specific cards, or performing certain actions.
Card Effects:
- Base and TOX Effects: Each card has two effects: a base effect that occurs when the card is played, and a TOX effect that activates if the card’s TOX symbol matches the current TOX in the action bar.
- Keywords: Cards come with keywords that define their effects. Examples include:
- Draw X: Draw X cards.
- Damage X: Deal X damage to the enemy.
- Discard X: Discard X cards.
- Sequence: Keywords are executed in the order listed, ensuring strategic depth.
Advanced Mechanics:
Revealing TOX:
- Visibility: At the start of the game, only a limited number of TOX symbols are revealed. Cards with keywords like Reveal TOX X or True Sight can unveil hidden TOX symbols.
Delay Queue:
- Function: The keyword Delay X postpones the execution of subsequent keywords by X turns. Delayed actions are executed before any other actions when the corresponding TOX is reached.
Interactions with Enemies:
Predators and Prey:
- Predators: Generate attack turns in the action bar, during which they deal damage to the player.
- Prey: Generate escape attempts. If the prey's agility exceeds yours and you can't use stun or snare abilities, they will escape.
Rewards:
Winning encounters grants a reduction in the hunger bar and rewards you with Bonse, the in-game currency.
